McPherson College seeks dynamic and innovative candidates for the position of Property Manager. This is a full-time, 12-month, college benefits eligible, exempt position that reports to the Executive Director of Operations. College benefits include full tuition remission after 2 years of employment and an exceptional retirement benefit after 1 year of employment.
The Property Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of all assigned properties and spaces, as well as controlling the availability of the assigned properties and spaces. The Property Manager will work closely with the facilities management department and the office of student affairs to ensure the maximum bed count is available for students, faculty, and staff. The responsibilities of this position could vary significantly from day to day and week to week and could include – property management of college-owned residential properties, inventory and control of rooms for student use, hotel liaison and other duties and projects as assigned by the Executive Director of Operations.
Experience: Three years’ experience with residential rental housing management or related field required, including rent collection and relevant record keeping, and maintenance of accurate client files.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, management, real estate, hospitality. In lieu of degree, 5 or more years of relevant experience may suffice.
Primary Skills: Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills are necessary as well as problem solving and leadership capacity. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills are essential for success. The ability to interact at all levels with campus and system-wide officials is mandatory.
Other Skills: Microsoft Office products including Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be able to read architectural drawings.
The ability to do physical tasks that exert moderate physical effort (50 to 75 lbs.)
